How many dollars does the US Taxpayer spend each year to subsidize the Tobacco Industry?

The US does not pay anything directly to big tobacco. In fact, quite the opposite is true. Huge amounts are brought in from all the taxes on tobacco products. However, there are some subsidies given to certain farming operations that deal with tobacco growing. I don't know any details on that but you could research the Farm Bill stuff to find out. Alot of pork is dedicated to agriculture.
