Relocating and my jobs is in Morris Plains, NJ - Where should I live?

Hi Everyone. Looking for some brainstorming help. I am being relocated and my job will be in Morris Plains, NJ. I have a wife and a small child, so safety and a low crime area is my main concern. I am looking to spend 250K - 425K on the house and would like to be in a somewhat upscale area. For example, if my 300K house is in an area with alot of 600K homes, that would be great! A list of cities I should research would be really appreciated. Finally, I would like the commute to be an hour or less, so even Eastern PA would be ok too, I know the houses might more affordable there.
