Can a guy get a tattoo on the back of the ankle?

I'm going to Paris for vacation abd want something to remember it, i figured a little tattoo would be fine. Thought it would be a good idea to get on the back of one ankle my last name and on the back of the other La Vie, the life. Simple, just fancy writing, but i didnt know if that was 'unmanly' haha. Let me know what you think, and if you have any recomendations for where to get it that'd be cool too.
